Mid Sussex Caledonian
Society.
The Mid Sussex Caledonian Society,
founded in 1926, is open to all those who enjoy Scottish traditions and
culture. The main events held during the year are a Burns Supper and a St
Andrew's Evening. A recent event was a very successful 2008 Burns
Supper held at the Sofitel Hotel, Gatwick. Our next event
will be a talk on the Sussex Air Ambulance, our Charity
for this year, on April 5th in the Cuckfield Old School Hall. Later in the year
we shall be holding our annual Golf Competition followed by a
summer garden party on Fri 4th July.
We also organise trips of interest to
members. Recent trips included a visit to Leonardslee Gardens in Sussex and
Badger Watching at Wakehurst Place. A popular annual event is a walk through an
interesting part of the local countryside culminating with a Scottish Tea which
will be held this year on 18th May.
A Newsletter of Society events and
activities is sent to members either by e-mail or Royal Mail about 6 times
during the year. Click here to view current Newsletter. January
