Mid Sussex Caledonian
Society.
The Mid Sussex Caledonian Society,
founded in 1926, is open to all those who enjoy Scottish traditions and
culture. The main events held during the year are a Burns Supper and a St
Andrew's Evening. The 2008 Burns Supper held, for the first time
at the Sofitel Hotel, Gatwick was very successful
and we plan to hold the 2009 Burns Supper at the same venue. We shall be
holding our annual Golf Competition followed by a summer garden
party on Fri 4th July.
We also organise trips of interest to
members. Recent trips included a visit to Leonardslee Gardens in Sussex and
Badger Watching at Wakehurst Place. A popular annual event is a walk through an
interesting part of the local countryside culminating with a Scottish Tea which
will be held this year on 18th May.
